Spin Master

Toys, Toys
& More Toys

I spent six-weeks working with the social team at Pereira O'Dell improving the creative output, developing two junior-mid creative teams and two content creators working under me, and building process across the brands we were responsible for.

After surviving the holidays we shifted gears and I worked with strategy and account to explore new production efficiences and perform a social presence audit across all 10 of the Spin Masters accounts.

Paw Patrol

We were tasked with creating a holiday campaign that featured various Paw Patrol toys that would drive sales. However, we didn't have the budget for a shoot. I ended up using AI and DAM assets to create stop motion like holiday scenes.

Some other examples of content from the account.

KineticSand

Kinetic Sand has limitless possibilities, but the feed focused on sensory content that didn't convey the energy of the product. When we had the opportunity to shoot, I pushed for bright backgrounds to add energy and put the kinetic back into Kinetic Sand.

Bitzee

Bitzee is a Tomagatchi like virtual pet that features a flapping screen with LED's to create a "touchable" hologram. With no budget for shoots, I was tasked with figuring out how to create lifestyle content for the toy and how to bring it to life from static assets. Additionally, we navigated a Disney partnership with it's own set of additional brand guidelines.

There were a number of food related holidays we needed to hit in December, so we created a mini-campaign with a similar look and feel for the posts.

Meme style content was also a pillar of the brand so we needed to find a way to elevate the design.

Unicorn
Academy

One of the things I enjoyed about this brand was through my perspective as a parent. How could we help other parents connect with their child through something the kid was passionate about?

Leading up to Holiday we were tasked with showcasing every unicorn/rider comobo, feature a toy for each, utilizing clips from the show and including various other lore about them.

To streamline the process of serving 90+ pieces of content over 5 weeks, we sold through an approach that put all the information in the style of a book a student might find at The Unicorn Academy. This way we could consolidate information and create a posting cadence that wasn't completely overwhelming. Below is one of the five weeks.

Hatchimals

Hatchimals is a product that immediatley gets compared to Furby by most people, but has a distinct user experience that begins from the moment you take it out of the box.

One client ask was to create introductery character posts for all the different types of Hatchimals. To speed up production, I designed out a template inspired by trading cards that featured an existing hatchimal asset and  AI to generate backgrounds based on each's mythology.

The design studio then stepped in to version out the remaining characters. This free'd up my team to focus on other pressing deliverables.
